The Emerald Princess cruise ship arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, her new home port.
Boston’s newest hometown cruise ship, the 3,080-guest Emerald Princess, sailed into town on Sunday, July 14, marking the beginning of its inaugural season at Flynn Cruiseport Boston. Known affectionately as the Love Boat, this iconic vessel from Princess Cruises will now be homeporting in Boston, offering scenic Canada & New England voyages, including a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Greenland.
Emerald Princess Inaugural Season Highlights
Canada & New England Voyages
The Emerald Princess will feature 10 Canada and New England cruises, ranging from seven to 17 days. Guests can look forward to experiencing stunning fall foliage, exploring colonial history, viewing scenic lighthouses, and enjoying fresh seafood in charming seaside villages. One of the standout highlights is the chance to visit three ports in Greenland, the world’s largest island known for its breathtaking fjords and unique wildlife.
John Padgett, Princess Cruises’ president, expressed excitement about the new home port: “The debut of Emerald Princess for our maiden Boston season celebrates a convenient new home port for New Englanders and beyond to set sail on a premium cruise at an exceptional value, especially when compared to land-based vacations. Our presence also generates substantial revenue for local businesses from our guests and crew, as we’ll bring upwards of 30,000 cruisers to experience all Boston offers.”
