When I first read Virgin Voyages’ latest press release, I had to do a double-take:

But before you start imagining toddlers running amok on this adult-centric cruise line, let’s clarify: this “kids sail free” offer isn’t what you might think. It’s a clever twist on a familiar cruise promotion targeting adults aged 18-26.

Virgin Voyages Redefines “Kids”

Virgin Voyages has always been about providing an adults-only retreat on the high seas. Their new promotion, however, stretches their definition of “kids.” Inspired by the idea that “if you’re old enough to vote, you’re old enough to sail,” Virgin Voyages is now inviting adults aged 18-26 to join the fun. Whether they’re about to graduate, heading off to college, or aging out of their parents’ health insurance, there’s no better way to celebrate these milestones than on Virgin Voyages’ award-winning ships.

This offer is available through August 23rd, 2024, and is subject to availability. Travel dates range from July 23, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and apply to all regions and ships. Certain conditions apply; not all sailings, such as holiday sailings, are included.
